How can I make donations to the Foundation?

I’m a serving ADF member: You can either use the same payment methods as non-serving members shown at the Contribution Page or set up allotments via PMKeys.

I’m NOT a serving ADF member: Visit the Contribution Page for many diverse options, or otherwise set up a direct debit payment (speak to your financial institution to set this up) – You’ll need the following information:

  • RAE Foundation Bank details: Westpac Bank, 90 Collins Street Melbourne, VIC 3000
  • RAE Foundation BSB: 033-508
  • RAE Foundation Account number: 140072
  • RAE Foundation Account name: Royal Australian Engineers Foundation Limited
How do I support RAE Foundation?

The RAE Foundation seeks individuals, organisations, and industry partners to contribute to the Foundation and it’s programs. You can find more information in the Contribute and Programs pages. You can also contact the Foundation to review the most suitable options.

I’m a serving RAE member – what’s the difference between donating to the RAE Foundation and subscribing to the RAE Corps Fund?

The RAE Corps Fund does great work providing support to the Corps and its members. However, it can only assist current serving military members, regardless of whether the applicant for support is a contributing member. Further, the RAE Corps Fund is only able to provide limited funds within specific guidelines.

On the other hand, the RAE Foundation is a registered charitable organisation. This means that the Foundation has greater flexibility to collect and to make donations than the RAE Corps Fund, which is governed by Non-Public Monies regulations. Consequently, your donation can be used where it is needed most, when it is needed most.

What does the RAE Foundation do?

The Royal Australian Engineers have been on the front line since 1902, performing necessary tasks such as designing and building roads and bridges, demolishing obstacles and clearing landmines and other explosive hazards. In this latter task, particularly in recent operations in Afghanistan, casualties suffered by RAE personnel have regrettably led to an expanded role for the Foundation. This role reflects the Foundation objective to assist with the welfare of RAE personnel and their dependants.

Further information about the Foundation and our programs can be found on the About the Foundation page and in the Programs section.
