Brigadier Wayne G. Budd AM, CSC (Chairman)

Brigadier Wayne G. Budd, CSCWayne Budd is a serving member of the Australian Army. He commands the Australian Army Cadets and also holds the appointment as Head of Corps of the Royal Australian Engineers. A qualified Civil Engineer and Fellow of The Institution of Engineers Australia, Wayne has commanded an Army construction unit, the School of Military Engineering, the Counter-Improversed Explosive Device Task Force and established the Public Private Partnership Branch within Defence’s Infrastructure Division.  He has served on operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Colonel Stephen Gliddon

Steve Gliddon is currently serving as the Force Engineer within Headquarters 6th Brigade. 

Colonel Howard Ellis, RFD

Colonel Howard Ellis, RFDHoward Ellis enlisted in the Australian Army Reserve in 1974, progressing through the ranks to ultimately achieve the rank of Colonel in 1993.

He served in a range of appointments including command of two engineer squadrons, Commanding Officer of Melbourne University Regiment, Commander, of Logistic Support Force Engineers, and Commanding Officer and Chief Instructor of 3rd Command and Staff Wing. Colonel Ellis has been the Honorary Colonel of Australian Army Cadet Brigade, Victoria, since 2001.

Lieutenant Colonel Gregory Donald Bowyer, CSM

Lieutenant Colonel Gregory Donald Bowyer, CSMAfter graduating from the Royal Military College Duntroon in 1984, Greg Bowyer joined the Royal Australian Engineers with 21 Construction Squadron in Puckapunyal. He subsequently served with the RAAF at RAAF Tindal, the British Army at Iserlohn in Germany and the US Marine Corp at their Warfighting Laboratory in Quantico Virginia. Greg had command, regimental and staff appointments with 18 Fd Sgn, 1 Fd Sgn, the HQ 5th Brigade and was Commanding Officer of the School Military Engineering in 2001 – 2002, including the period of the Corps Centenary.

Since retiring from regular service Greg has spent time as the Corps Advisor RAE for NSW Reserves and been the Chairman of the Australian Army Museum of Military Engineering and a Director of the RAE Foundation, both since 2003. 

His civilian career has focussed on the engineering and construction of gas and related infrastructure, plus consulting to the energy and resources industry in Australia and overseas. 

Colonel Tara Bucknall

Warrant Officer Class One Craig Egan OAM

Craig Egan is a serving member of the Australian Army and has served in all levels of enlisted leadership and numerous Engineer units including instructional appointments at the School of Military Engineering in Sydney. He has held the appointment of Regimental Sergeant Major of the 1st Combat Engineer Regiment, 8th Combat Engineer Regiment, Melbourne University Regiment, the 4th Brigade, the Corps of Royal Australian Engineers and 1st Division / Deployable Joint Force Headquarters. Craig's representational experience includes training roles in the United States, United Kingdom, Solomon Islands, Philippines and Spain. He has served on operations in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Craig assumed his current appointment as the Command Warrant Officer at Joint Operations Command in January 2016.
